As a northern Michigan hotel, we strive to provide the best possible up-north hospitality experience and become a home away from home for our guests. Our motto is “When you’re here, you’re Family.”
What are the benefits of operating a family business in this industry?
There are plenty of benefits to keeping a hospitality business in the family, including a focus on persistent improvement and innovation, the ability to build key talent in select individuals, the relationships of loyal stakeholders, and a long-term view of investments. Also, ownership has greater control over how a hotel runs.

Not only does the MRLA enhance growth and development within our industry, but it’s also important to be a part of a united voice for our industry.
