MRLA Countdown: 31 Days Until Michigan's Restaurant Industry Faces a Devastating Tip Credit Elimination
“With just 31 days remaining until Michigan's restaurant industry faces a preventable crisis, the clock is ticking on legislative action to prevent the loss of up to 60,000 restaurant jobs,” said Justin Winslow, President & CEO of the Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association. “The evidence from other cities that have eliminated the tip credit is clear and alarming - Washington D.C. is on pace to lose over 4,000 jobs since implementation. Michigan cannot afford to ignore these warning signs."
