Michigan Restaurant Association Endorses Bill Schuette for Governor
LANSING, Mich. – After careful consideration and significant review by its Political Action Committee, The Michigan Restaurant Association today endorsed Attorney General Bill Schuette for Governor.
“The Michigan Restaurant Association has endorsed Bill Schuette as the best candidate for governor to lead Michigan’s restaurant industry and the 440,000 jobs it provides,” said Justin Winslow, President & CEO of the Michigan Restaurant Association.
“Attorney General Bill Schuette has an established track record of understanding the unique challenges restaurant operators face every day. As our next governor, I am confident he will support policies and foster an economic environment in which restaurants thrive and continue to create rewarding jobs,” said Winslow.
“The restaurant industry is often called the industry of opportunity,” added Winslow. “As we look to the next four years, however, many of those opportunities would appear to be in jeopardy due to an undersized workforce and expansive regulation. We believe Attorney General Bill Schuette has the bold vision to create the positive change we need and stand ready to partner with him on day one.”
The Michigan Restaurant Association will announce additional endorsements later this year.
