A total of 24 Michigan House of Representatives and 16 Michigan State Senate candidates have received endorsements from the MRLA’s Political Action Committee Board of Trustees
LANSING, MICH. – The Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association (MRLA) today announced that its Political Action Committee Board of Trustees has endorsed 24 candidates for the Michigan House of Representatives and 16 candidates for the Michigan State Senate for the August 2 primary election.
“Michigan’s hospitality industry has endured an exceptionally challenging two years and now, more than ever, needs elected leaders who are willing to champion its resurrection,” said MRLA President & CEO, Justin Winslow. “The carefully selected candidates for endorsement represent those who have recognized the importance of the hospitality industry to Michigan’s overall well-being and demonstrated a commitment to help restore those restaurants, cafes, banquet centers, hotels and resorts that have sacrificed so much.”
Customarily, the MRLA engages in legislative primaries only if an incumbent with a superior voting record with the association is challenged, or if one candidate significantly stands out of the field in an open seat. The endorsed candidates below are listed with their district number and party affiliation.
