Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association President & CEO Provides Statement Regarding Executive Order 2020-143
"We recognize that Governor Whitmer’s latest Executive Order was largely a stay of execution for the restaurant industry, given the more expansive measures taken in several other states. We operate in uncertain times, with almost inconceivable challenges that shift by the day and so it is important to remember that the vast majority of operators are honest brokers doing the very best they can to keep people safe, happy and nourished. This Order is just the latest reminder that if we want to retain the things we love – like a great meal with friends and family – we all must bear greater responsibility for our collective safety or grieve its absence."
