What is your business’ niche/speciality?
Frank’s Place is an Italian restaurant. We have a newly remodeled open kitchen to showcase our hand tossed pizzas baked in a brick deck ovens. We serve wine, specialty drinks, Michigan craft beers and ciders.
Why is the MRLA important to you and your business?
In this challenging time, the MRLA has been instrumental in keeping us up-to-date on all the information concerning the COVID-19 virus. Whether it's information from the governor on rules we need to follow or how to apply for PPP loans and grants. We do not have a grocery store in our town. MRLA offered a webinar class on food labeling that we took on a Monday. By Wednesday we were selling groceries and pizza kits at our restaurant. This supports our restaurant and our community.
Frank's Place Highlights
1. We specialize in hand tossed pizza, pasta dishes, and grinder sandwiches.
2. We make pizza dough, flatbreads, soups, cookies and scones daily. We also make ravioli, lasagna, meatballs and all our sauces are homemade.
3. We have a self-sustained hydroponic garden. We grow basil, Italian parsley, and salad. We use the fresh herbs on our pizza and pasta dishes. We make homemade pesto for our bruschetta and pasta dishes.
4. We source local products. We get our freshly ground beef locally. In season we buy vegetables from local farmers and farmers markets. Our food distributors are from Michigan and Ohio.
5. For over 36 years, Frank's Place has been an independent family owned business.
