MRLA Helps Secure Pure Michigan Funding in 2021 Budget
The Pure Michigan campaign, which was line-item vetoed in the 2019 budget, has finally been reinstated at $15 million in funding. The need for Pure Michigan became evident in recent months as tourism rates plummeted and many small businesses in Michigan were forced to permanently close their doors. The MRLA has been working since fall of last year to regain funding for the tourism campaign that has historically generated $4.2 billion in Michigan business sales, saved taxpayers money, provided 200,000 jobs to the industry, and instills pride and unity across parties and peninsulas.
