ServSafe Alcohol Certification
MRLA Members receive a 20% on products!
The ServSafe Alcohol® responsible alcohol service program gives restaurant and foodservice industry managers and employees the knowledge, confidence and tools to think and react successfully and responsibly when serving beverage alcohol. This training and certification program is offered through the Michigan Restaurant & Lodging Association in compliance with MCL 436.1906 of the Michigan Liquor Control Code of 1998.
Training at Your Location
We can come to your location! Save your employees' travel time and let them learn in a familiar location.

Alcohol Self-Study/Participant’s Exam
Materials are mailed to you to study when you register. You can take a proctored exam at any of our scheduled ServSafe exam locations. Your MLCC accepted wallet card will be available on your www.servsafe.com login account 7-10 days after your exam.
Alcohol Online Course & Exam
Earn your server training today - take the ServSafe Alcohol course and exam online. This convenient certification option can be done in the comfort of your own home or wherever you have internet access.
To become a ServSafe Alcohol Instructor:
To teach ServSafe Alcohol in Michigan, instructors must complete and pass the ServSafe Alcohol Michigan Online Course and Exam. Additional steps to become a ServSafe Alcohol Michigan instructor are outlined here.
What you need to do:
- Complete and pass the ServSafe Alcohol Michigan Online Course and Exam.
- Review and complete the additional steps to become a certified instructor.
- Provide the Michigan State Supplement during training and follow state-specific delivery guidelines."
