What does Women's History Month mean to you?
Women’s History is recognizing that women are BOSSES and we have been since the beginning of time. We are the backbones of our families, communities, countries and beyond!
What has been your biggest inspiration as a business owner?
My biggest inspiration has been my mother. Although she is no longer alive, she was an entrepreneur. She owned a beauty salon. She taught me to do what you love and to dream big!
How has your identity shaped your business and brand?
I am a proud black woman-owned business and my identity as a black woman and mother helps me see the world through multiple lenses. This gives me the ability to connect with a wide range of people. My bakery is an inclusive and inviting space and that's what people love most about my brand.
What is your business’ niche/specialty?
We specialize in the best gluten free eats, treats and cooking classes for all ages. We are more than a bakery. We provide memorable encounters; experiences that last a lifetime.
Why is the MRLA important to you and your business?
The MRLA is such a great resource hub for everything a business needs! From the ServSafe classes that helped me develop my standard operating procedures to the legal resources available to members, the benefits are priceless and endless.
